Fruit bats drink by swooping into the water then go to a tree and lick their fur. Fruit bats mainly eat fruits and nuts. Like all bats fruit bats sleep upsidedown. When bats fly they usually fly in groups. Some people provide bat boxes so they can use them as rest stops on trips.
